...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM MDT /4 PM CDT/ THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Very
high rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour are possible with
thunderstorms. Many locations have already received 1 to 2 inches
of rainfall already.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following
areas, Central Lea, Eddy County Plains, Guadalupe Mountains of
Eddy County, Northern Lea and Southern Lea and western Texas,
including the following areas, Andrews, Borden, Dawson, Gaines,
Howard, Martin, Mitchell and Scurry.

* WHEN...From 3 PM MDT  /4 PM CDT/ this afternoon through Sunday
morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.
